Chocolate Protein Balls

Want to indulge in a little treat but still eat something good for you? try this recipe.

CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BALLS

Combine
1 cup quick rolled oats GF
3 scoops vanilla protein powder (provides about 55 grams of protein)
4 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp ground flax
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp coconut oil
Shredded coconut or crushed walnuts for rolling

Mix ingredients together, form into donut size balls and refrigerate for 15 minutes. roll in coconut or walnuts. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until firm.

Tip – for protein powders I like to use either Natural Factors French Vanilla whey protein (contains dairy) or Progressive harmonized Vegan protein. Both are clean, sweetened with stevia, high in protein, and very tasty.
